Andariya is delighted to open a call for multimedia content ideas submission in both English and Arabic from content creators from Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Somalia living at home or beyond. We're seeking vibrant, timeless, thought-provoking, and uplifting stories at the intersections of art and culture, society, technology, gender, and the environment. We also love data-driven storytelling, and cross-format experimentation and collaboration to boost creativity and shareability.

We believe in the power of positive and community informed storytelling—narratives that don’t just inform but edutain, spark curiosity, inspire, and showcase communities' lived realities and how they are reimagining the future collectively and with agency.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Multimedia Features: Photo essays, mini-documentaries, visual explainers, comics, audio stories, and data-based stories.
  • Long-form Writing: Deep dives, profiles, and essays that connect African experiences across conversations.
  • Languages: Arabic or English (videos can be in other languages subtitled in Eng/Ar)
